As EGEROBOT, established in Türkiye, in our capacity as data controller, we declare that:
- Your personal data, obtained in the ways described below and within the scope of our user relationship with you,
- Within the framework of the purpose requiring its processing and in a manner connected, limited, and proportionate to that purpose,
- Preserving the accuracy and most up-to-date form of the personal data as you have notified it to us,
- Will be recorded, stored, kept, reorganized, and shared with official authorities legally authorized to request this personal data.
1. Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Your personal data (name, email, phone number, madhhab and calculation method preferences, and geographic location) is processed within the scope of 6698 for the purposes of calculating your prayer times and qibla direction, providing lessons and the AI guide, managing teacher and scholar verification processes, and personalizing the user experience.
2. Method of Collection and Legal Grounds
Your personal data is collected by electronic means only: the registration and profile forms you complete inside the application, the permissions you grant on your device, and the technical records produced automatically while you use the service. It is processed on the legal grounds set out in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law — that processing is directly necessary for the performance of a contract, that it is mandatory for the controller to fulfil a legal obligation, that it is necessary for our legitimate interests without harming your fundamental rights, and, for optional processing such as marketing, your explicit consent.
3. Transfer of Personal Data
Your personal data is transferred, limited to the purposes above, to our suppliers providing hosting, push-notification, crash-reporting and payment services, to the AI providers listed in our AI Disclosure Notice, and to public authorities legally entitled to request it. Transfers abroad are made under Article 9 of the Law, on the basis of an adequacy decision, a written undertaking, or your explicit consent. Your worship record and your questions to the AI guide are not transferred to advertisers.
4. Retention Periods
Your personal data is retained for as long as the purpose that requires processing continues. Once that purpose disappears, the data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised — except for records we are obliged to keep under other legislation, which are retained for the statutory period and erased once it ends.
5. Data Security
We take the technical and administrative measures required by Article 12 of the Law: encryption in transit and at rest, access authorisation and logging, multi-factor authentication for production systems, and confidentiality undertakings from the personnel who process data.
6. Rights of the Data Subject
Pursuant to Article 11 of the Law, data subjects have the right to: learn whether their personal data is processed; if so, request information; learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose; know the third parties to whom it is transferred domestically or abroad; and request correction if processed incompletely or inaccurately.
Data subjects also have the right to request the erasure or destruction of their personal data where the grounds for processing have disappeared, to ask that any such correction or erasure be notified to the third parties the data was transferred to, to object to a result reached solely through automated analysis, and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
7. How to Apply
You may submit your requests under Article 11 to us in writing, together with the identifying information required by the Communiqué on Application Procedures. We conclude the request free of charge and within thirty days at the latest; if the process incurs a cost, the tariff set by the Board applies. If your request is refused or you find the answer insufficient, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Board within the periods laid down in Article 14.
