EGEROBOT ("Controller") processes your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This notice explains what we process, why, and the rights you have.
1. Data we process
Account data (name, email, phone), profile data (age, gender, madhhab and calculation method, learning goals), approximate location, lesson/message content metadata, and device/usage data.
2. Purposes & lawful basis (Art. 6)
- Providing prayer times, qibla direction, worship record, lessons and the AI guide — performance of a contract.
- Teacher and scholar verification and safety/moderation — legitimate interests.
- Optional marketing and personalization — your consent (withdrawable at any time).
3. Recipients
Data is disclosed only to processors acting on our documented instructions — hosting, push-notification delivery, crash reporting, payment processing and the AI providers named in our AI Disclosure Notice — to the app stores handling your subscription, and to public authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data and do not disclose your worship record or your questions to the AI guide to advertisers.
4. International transfers
Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
5. Retention
Data is kept only as long as necessary for the purposes above; on account deletion personal data is permanently erased from our systems.
6. Security of processing (Art. 32)
We apply encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access control with multi-factor authentication and audit logging, and regular restoration testing of backups. A personal data breach is notified to the supervisory authority within 72 hours and, where the risk to your rights is high, to you as well (Arts. 33-34).
7. Your rights (Art. 15–22)
Access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority.
8. Automated decision-making (Art. 22)
The AI-powered features are a decision-support tool. No decision producing legal effects concerning you, or similarly significantly affecting you, is taken solely by automated processing; you may object and request human intervention at any time.
