Can the AI guide give a fatwa?
No — the AI guide does not issue fatwas. It explains and points to sources, and any question that needs an actual ruling is directed to a real scholar through the Ask a scholar feature.
A clear line
A fatwa is a considered judgement given by a qualified person who knows your circumstances. Software is neither qualified nor aware of your circumstances.
What the guide does instead
It explains what the texts say, describes where the schools differ, and gives you the vocabulary to ask a better question.
Where the question goes
When a question needs a ruling, the guide says so and offers to send it to Ask a scholar, where a person answers.
